Membership at the Lyceum truly offers something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a place to enjoy racquet sports, meet with and make new friends, or a special spot for family fun, you’ll find it here!
Social Events
The Lyceum provides a full range of social events for its members. The club traditionally hosts their annual black-tie Directors’ Ball, a Valentine’s Dinner and a Christmas Brunch celebration. The Lyceum also hosts festive events such as Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day picnics on the lawn. The Superbowl Party, Dinners of the Month and TGIF summer picnics are traditional member favorites.
Racquet
No matter the weather, tennis enthusiasts of all ages will enjoy our clay tennis courts or lighted platform tennis courts. Whether you play to satisfy your competitive side or just enjoy casual play, you will appreciate the tennis clinics, tournaments and socials throughout the year. If pickleball is your new obsession, you’ll enjoy our six private courts available for reservation and open play.
Swimming
A beautiful swimming pool, baby pool, multi-purpose building and patio provides family fun throughout the summer months. Members enjoy the carefree days of summer and pool games under the supervision of outstanding lifeguards. Swimming lessons are also available upon request.
Educational Activities
No matter your age, the Lyceum offers many educational and literary opportunities throughout the entire year:

Our family has been Lyceum members since the late 1990s when our kids were toddlers. Growing up, they enjoyed the pool, summer kids’ camps, children’s theatre, Christmas with Santa, Easter Bunny breakfast and many other events geared towards children. My wife and I have enjoyed numerous events from Friday night TGIFs with bratts and metts, to black tie affairs. Now, our children are getting married and holding their wedding receptions at the Lyceum – a beautiful place which offers a huge discount to members who rent the facility. There are so many things to enjoy at the Lyceum, even if you are not a tennis, paddle or pickleball player. Most importantly, we have developed so many life-long friendships that have enhanced our lives here in Glendale. You will love it!

Our family loves the Lyceum, there is something for all of us. My wife and I enjoy playing pickleball and paddle tennis while our kids hang out at the pool with their friends. My wife also participates in several of the group tennis activities offered on the clay courts. We’ve been members for more than 10 years and our family has made some of our best memories at the casual TGIFs in the summer, the Spring Fling, Breakfast with Santa, and 4th of July campouts.
